So, it's easier to birth a new church than to raise a dead one? I'm not sure about that, but I do know that I've been in "dead" churches where the "old guard" had to "die away" (i.e. move on) before the church could start growing again.
Anyways, there's little faith required anymore from giving birth. People do it all the time. Raising the dead doesn't happen everyday. It takes a lot of faith to believe that God can even do it. Put your own spiritual spin on that.
HOWEVER, after having given birth (thrice), I would argue that I thought I was dying.;)

I would have to agree that giving birth id easier than raising the dead where church growth is concerned. Giving birth to a new church springs out of a fresh vision and spiritual excitement. Usually all involved are eager to do what God wants for them to do. However, when you are faced with a dead church you are also faced with what killed it in the first place. Battles have to be won against the strongholds there before spiritual growth can happen.
